Production Flow – Shipping Expeditor

Production Flow & Shipping Expeditor

Keystone Wood Specialties is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated person to help keep customer orders moving accurately through production, staging, packaging, and shipping.

This is a hands-on shop position with a strong focus on organization, follow-through, quality, and urgency. The right person will help coordinate work between production areas and shipping so completed orders are processed, packaged, staged, and ready to leave on time.

This role is a good fit for someone who likes variety, takes ownership, notices details, and enjoys making a process run smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Help coordinate customer orders as they move through production and shipping.
  • Work closely with production, rough mill, shipping, and customer service to keep orders on schedule.
  • Receive and organize parts and components from production areas.
  • Perform quality checks before orders move to the next step.
  • Run light machinery or production processes as needed.
  • Sort, label, wrap, skid, and stage products accurately for shipment.
  • Help verify that parts, components, and hardware are complete before shipment.
  • Catch missing items, quality issues, or timing problems before they become customer problems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, visual work area.
  • Follow checklists and help improve processes over time.
  • Hustle when needed to keep orders moving out the door accurately and on time.

What We’re Looking For

The best fit is someone who:

  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Takes ownership without needing constant supervision.
  • Has a strong sense of urgency.
  • Communicates clearly with supervisors and other departments.
  • Can follow a checklist but also notice when something does not look right.
  • Is comfortable learning basic shop equipment and production processes.
  • Can use an iPad, scanner, computer, or shop-tracking system as needed.
  • Handles changing priorities well.
  • Enjoys improving messy or developing processes.
  • Wants a role with room to grow.

Helpful Experience

Experience in any of these areas would be helpful but is not required:

  • Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics
  • Production expediting
  • Manufacturing or shop-floor coordination
  • Assembly, packaging, or kitting
  • Quality control
  • Machine operation
  • Cabinet, millwork, or woodworking environment
  • Team lead or floor lead experience
  • Forklift or pallet-jack experience

Hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with overtime as required.
