18 Frame Width Options

The width of the Narrow Shaker frame plays a big role in creating the aesthetic appeal and design style you’re trying to achieve.

Choose from 18 frame widths:

7/16″, 1/2″, 9/16″, 5/8″, 11/16″

3/4″, 13/16″, 7/8″, 15/16″

1″, 1 1/16″, 1 1/8″, 1 3/16″

1 1/4″, 1 5/16″, 1 3/8″

1 7/16″, 1 1/2″

5 Door Thickness Options

Choose from 5 door thickness:
7/8″, 15/16″, 1″, 1 1/16″, 1 1/8″

Thick Door Hinges may be required for doors over 7/8″ thick.

Narrow Shaker Door Construction

Built with CNC precision, each door is constructed with our solid Pro Cor panels made of lightweight, multi-ply Northwest Whitewood, giving it a high screw hold rating of over 300 pounds. The outer crossbands are a high-quality, veneered medium-density fiberboard that acts to prevent telegraphing of the wood grain to the outer surface.

Broad Glue Surface

The edges of our narrow shaker door panels are notched to promote a broader glue surface and create a very strong bond between the panel and edge framing.

Preventing Cracks in the Finish

On the face of each door, we add a slight curve where the framing material meets the panel which allows the finish to flow underneath the frame and helps prevent the finish from cracking due to natural expansions and contractions of the door.

The back of each door has a relief around the perimeter to create a clean finish and also prevent visible cracks in the finish.
