Shipping Associate
The Shipping Associate plays a critical role in ensuring our products are accurately prepared, protected, and shipped to our customers. This position involves gathering, inspecting, packaging, and labeling orders, as well as supporting inventory and receiving functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather items for shipment and verify all components are complete and accurate
- Inspect products to ensure they meet Keystone’s quality standards prior to shipping
- Wrap products in protective foam and prepare them for packaging
- Operate the Box on Demand system, including using a computer to create custom-sized boxes
- Assemble boxes, pack products securely, and seal shipments for delivery
- Print and apply shipping labels using computer systems
- Assist with receiving incoming items as needed
- Ensure all required hardware is available and included with outgoing orders
- Perform inventory checks to maintain proper stock levels and prevent shortages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Professional and pleasant demeanor with customers
- Complete paperwork as required and follow SOP’s of position
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior shipping or packaging experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn shipping and packaging systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and be on your feet.
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining a neat workspace
Additional Information:
- Forklift use is extremely limited and not required for packaging processes
