Cabinet Door Assembly Department Lead

Keystone Wood Specialties has an opening for an experienced woodworker with strong leadership skills for Cabinet Door Assembly Department Lead position.

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily production and flow of cabinet doors through your department while following customer requirements and adhering to Keystone’s SOPs to ensure that each door is built accurately and meets our quality standards. You will be responsible for the daily management of your team members as well as their skill development and training. You will also be working collaboratively with Department Leads from other areas of our Production process to ensure Keystone meets scheduled delivery dates.

In this role, these are some of the skills required:

  • Advanced knowledge of woodworking equipment (Saws, haunch machine, S90, Rotary clamps, etc.)
  • Ability to determine various wood species.
  • Strong ability to lead, coach and develop people.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong communication skills. (provide feedback and assist with performance reviews)
  • Strong knowledge of various door styles, types, beads etc.
  • Prior experience in door assembly process (Face frame/Cope and Stick/ Louver etc.)
  • Good understanding of various processes such as beading etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and caliper
  • This position is a hands-on role, meaning that you will lead a team but you will also be responsible for filling in within the department where needed. In this position, the individual will need to be able to lift up to 75lb. and push carts weighing up to 300 lbs.

This is a full-time, day-shift position. Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Overtime as needed.
