Keystone Wood Specialties Names Tim Stoltzfus Production Manager, Completes Plant Modernization Initiatives
Keystone Wood Specialties has appointed Tim Stoltzfus as Production Manager and completed a series of strategic facility upgrades aimed at strengthening manufacturing efficiency, quality control, and plant reliability.
Stoltzfus brings extensive internal experience to the role, having served previously as Department Lead, Quality Control Lead, and Training Lead. Tim is also the son of the late Sam Stoltzfus, Keystone’s founder, and continues the customer-first, quality-driven legacy Sam was known for throughout the industry. He has been directly involved in onboarding and operating key production equipment, including a BACCI Edge Profiling CNC, Weinig Powermat 700 Moulder, and ShopSabre CNC systems.
In his new position, Stoltzfus will focus on:
- Lean manufacturing implementation
- Standardized work development
- Progressive quality control strategies
- Production flow optimization
- Leadership development across production cells
Plant Modernization Initiatives
Alongside the leadership transition, Keystone completed significant plant improvements. A new dust collection system was installed in early January to improve operational reliability and reduce downtime risk. The upgrade supports consistent airflow and system performance across production areas.
During installation, the company reengineered its plant layout and production cells to streamline material flow and reduce internal handling inefficiencies. A plant-wide tooling organization and storage system was also implemented to improve accessibility, reduce setup time, and enhance workflow standardization.
The combined investments reflect a strategic focus on operational excellence and long-term scalability within the custom cabinetry component sector.
